Nurjarkyn

As an English speaker learning Kazakh language, at some stage, in order to learn the Kazakh language properly, it is critical to have a teacher who is proficient not only in both languages but also in pedagogy. I am grateful to my previous tutors and friends who have helped me with the basics to date. At the same time, I am glad to have found Nurzharkyn. Her lessons are focused and yet lively and fun! I would recommend her to anyone who has similar aspirations as me or would like to have a good start with an excellent teacher.

Nurjarkyn is an excellent teacher who tailors her lessons to the student’s pace. In six months of studying with her, I have learned basic conversation skills, grammar, vocabulary, and cultural context. She puts her students at ease with her patient, nonjudgmental approach. I look forward to working with her to further improve my Kazakh language ability!

I have worked with Nurjarkyn for over 20 lessons on business texts, helping translate business letter, preparing for business presentations in Kazakh, PowerPoint presentations in Kazakh, writing business letters in Kazakh, and preparing business speeches in Kazakh. I have tried many Kazakh language helpers, but none have been as knowledgeable and proficient as Nurjarkyn. She is very fluent in English AND she is a professional Kazakh linguist so she actually knows the correct way to write Kazakhs (not all Kazakhs know how to write correctly). Thus, I can give her my highest recommendation. She cost more that less educated Kazakh teachers, but it worth the money (so that you are not being taught mistakes, as some other language helpers were doing).

Nurzharkyn is the ideal teacher to read a challenging Kazakh passage with. She provides feedback to correct pronunciation and understanding errors and offers the most useful words related to the current words.

Patient, friendly, uses a variety of explanations to make connections to words and phrases.

Nurzharkyn is so helpful and encouraging. When we practiced negating sentences in Kazakh, she encouraged me to do the exercises to the best of my ability before we corrected them. Her feedback is also extremely useful for me to improve my collocations of nouns with verbs and other word usage in Kazakh.
