My lessons & teaching style

Together, we will define your linguistic goals and develop a tailored learning strategy. My lessons cover various aspects of the language, including vocabulary building, grammar study, and practicing listening, writing, and speaking skills. Depending on your preferences, we can incorporate creative teaching materials such as translating song lyrics, analyzing articles, news pieces, or book excerpts, and reading dialogues from novels or plays, among others. At the end of each session, I typically provide optional homework to reinforce what we’ve learned.

Sophie is absolutely amazing! I cannot recommend her enough. She tailors each lesson to what I need and what I am interested in learning - including specific vocabulary I need for my job here in France. She is patient, kind and empathetic but also pushes me to go further than I think I can. She brings much needed structure and support to my French learning. I find myself looking forward to my lessons with her and always feel so confident at the end of every one.
