Another great lesson with Julio! As always, he is patient, encouraging, positive, and fun to talk to. :) When I first started, I was so nervous speaking Spanish and kept second-guessing myself. But Julio made me feel comfortable and created a space where I wasn’t afraid to make mistakes, and that has made all the difference. Learning a language is a long, continuous journey, but Julio will be there with you every step of the way, motivating you, supporting your growth, and helping your knowledge and abilities truly flourish. I recommend him every chance I get when someone says they want to take Spanish lessons. I have been doing a weekly lesson with Julio for some time now and have noted exceptional progress in conversation abilities. I am a lifelong learner of Spanish and was very much struggling to feel comfortable speaking in more profound everyday conversations. I'm sincerely thankful for Julio's dedication and guidance along the way and couldn't have asked for a better teacher. He is truly passionate about teaching Spanish (especially the coolest variety out there... Mexican Spanish) and this enthusiasm has been contagious. Thank you, Julio!

Julio is an excellent teacher! Importantly, he is also very personable and easy to talk to. He has the rare skill of being able to carry a conversation while noting linguistic errors and misusages; his notes after our conversations are detailed, but he doesn't let his observations hamper the flow of dialogue. Julio's teaching style is relaxed, methodical, and very thorough. He provides structured notes on what we've discussed, from linguistic to cultural concepts, and clearly outlines areas for improvement that we discuss. I'm looking forward to more classes---I'm having fun and have already learned a lot!

Don't sleep on booking Julio! Seriously. His experience, professionalism, and passion for teaching shows, and I look forward to our sessions every week. What makes Julio stand out from other teachers I've worked with is his attentiveness and ease. He is so good at being fully present in the conversation, while simultaneously collecting notes on constructive feedback to follow up on later. He challenges you in a way that feels seamless and productive. He has brought a variety of exercises, conversation topics, and teaching materials to our classes so far. I learn something new every time, and always come away from our sessions thoughtful and inspired to dive into my language learning routine the rest of the week.
