¡Hola! I'm Eduardo, I come from Mexico but I'm currently living in New York City. I'm a native Spanish speaker and can speak English fluently as well. I can also speak some Mandarin and German, languages which I'm also studying here on italki!
Besides studying languages and teaching Spanish, I'm also a composer and I love playing and writing music. I'm always looking for new music to listen to in different languages or that represent different cultures.Me as a Teacher

I started learning languages over 10 years ago, and so I know what is like to be a student. This helps me to better understand and adapt to each students needs, since we all learn differently.
I've had experience with complete beginners as well as more advanced students. And have helped some to prepare for tests as well, which I'm a big fan of.
I've also had experience working with doctors, and so if you're one yourself we can work on healthcare related Spanish too. My lessons & teaching style
Whether you're looking to practice through conversations, or follow a more structured plan I can adapt to you.
I do have a preferred book I like to use, but I'm always interested in learning about new books or methods.
And I do like to give homework, just as long as it helps you to have something concrete to work on between lessons. The progress one makes as a student relies largely on the work done outside class, and so I encourage working on your own as much as possible so as to get the most out of our lessons.My teaching material

Eduardo is a fantastic teacher. He is very good at carrying a conversation, allowing me time to think and talk, and making corrections in a way that doesn't interrupt the flow of the conversation. He teaches new, relevant words each class including what would be encountered in Mexico versus other countries. Overall, I highly recommend Eduardo to anyone!

I had a reasonable A2/B1 knowledge of Spanish, but I never speak it, and I almost never hear it, as I don't have controlled real world encounters often. Eduardo was great though! Exactly what I needed. He spoke clearly and kept a reasonable pace that I could follow and understand. He suggested words I either knew and forgot, or should know at my level. He was really easy to talk to, and would break into english to explain a tough concept if needed. I already booked another lesson for later.
