My name is Matthew Round, and I am from America. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Communications and a 120-hour TESOL certificate. I am also halfway through my Master's degree in Education, specifically English Language Learning. I am passionate about teaching kids and adults. I am currently tutoring on Cambly and Italki, and I love my job. I get to talk to people from all around the world and learn about their cultures.Me as a Teacher
I am very patient and friendly. I go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable and confident when speaking English. I will work with you on whatever you want to work on. If you want IELTS, TOEFL, or TOEIC exam practice, I can help you. I also help with pronunciation as well, and I always give constructive criticism and positive encouragement. I can also help you with vocabulary and conversation practice. After we get to know each other in the trial lesson, then I will build custom lessons centered around your interests. I will also offer a professional English Curriculum from Abridge Academy, which will help your child learn English. I look forward to seeing you soon.😀My lessons & teaching style
I am a very supportive and positive teacher. I always give positive corrections, so I don't discourage my students. I adapt my classes around the students' needs and wants. I am also very patient as well, and I give my students the time they need to finish their sentences. I am also very patient when it comes to their pronunciation. I know language learning is tough, so I try to support my students and encourage them the best I can.
We can take a serious approach and use a Professional Abridge Academy Curriculum, or we can just have a laid-back conversation on any topic the student chooses. The student can practice reading comprehension, vocabulary, speaking skills, and pronunciation.My teaching material

Online English TutorI worked as an online English tutor from the start of 2021 until now. I am still working for Italki, Vipkid, and Cambly. I have 3 years of teaching experience so far and I am going to keep teaching for the rest of my life. This is not just a job for me, it's my career.

Bachelor’s - Communications/ Public and ProfessionalI graduated from this College with my Communications degree. The first year though I did take courses to become a teacher like my parents but decided not to at the time because being a classroom teacher is very stressful and low pay. This is one of the reasons I decided to teach online because I can concentrate on one or a few students at a time.

Matthew is a very flexible teacher. He can understand the needs of his students and change the lesson content accordingly.
His lessons are quite diverse ranging from general conversation to teaching articles. He is a very patient and professional teacher.

Matthew is a great teacher.
He is approachable and patient. He asks me how i want the class to flow then he adjusts to it nicely.
He also writes down the phrases and words along the class so that i can refer to them later.
