Hi! My name is Dulcie and I’m a CELTA qualified, experienced, native English teacher from London with a standard British accent (RP). I also have a Master's degree in Photography and a qualification in proofreading.
As well as being an English teacher I am also a photographer! My other hobbies include gardening, hiking, wild swimming, rock climbing, and cooking delicious food from all over the world.Me as a Teacher
I believe that the most important thing to be successful at learning English is to feel CONFIDENT! If you feel calm and confident you will want to stretch your abilities, such as trying out new pieces of vocabulary and more complex grammar structures. My warm, friendly and encouraging teaching style will instantly make you feel confident and motivated to learn! At the same time, I will be making corrections to your grammar and making vocabularly suggestions, but I do this in a kind and supportive way. I genuinely enjoy my lessons, and I know my students do too!My lessons & teaching style
I enjoy teaching conversational English as I think this is the most fun and productive way to learn languages. I like to use real-life resources such as articles, videos and creative writing to guide conversations. However, thanks to my CELTA training I also am confident in teaching using exercises and coursebooks to focus on specific issues you may have with grammar, pronunciation and vocabulary.

Dulcie is super friendly and it's easy to establish a rapport with her. The lessons are always excellent - they are engaging and fun. The conversations flow seamlessly and I'm building up my fluency and confidence in an effortless way. She is a great listener and a patient teacher.
