Chill American Teacher from Miami -TEFL certified/10 years of experience - bilingual English/Spanish Hey, what's up?! I'm Hiram, a laid-back English teacher from Miami, FL, USA with over 11 years of experience! I traveled around Europe for 9 years teaching English, am a musician, and also bartend at a brewery. My passions include music, cinema/series, history, literature, philosophy, comedy, food, culture, and much more! I'm fluent in English and Spanish and speak quite a bit of French. My teaching style is pretty chill. While teaching myself French, I would often feel confident in my reading and listening skills, only to find myself struggling to find the right words when it came time to speak. I learned the hard way that this can only be improved by practicing. That's why I want you, as my student, to feel comfortable talking to me as if you were just chatting with an American buddy at a bar while traveling around the world. I believe natural conversation and sharing stories with each other (and I have a lot of crazy stories) is the absolute best way to improves ones language skills! :) I have a bachelor's degree in English with a focus on creative writing and a double minor in philosophy and anthropology, a master's degree in liberal studies, and TEFL certification, all from the University of Miami.

Really nice conversation and I've learned lots of new expressions. Also, Hiram searched about the topics I've mentioned for us to discuss. Very attentive!
