Hello! My name is June. I am a Chinese tutor originally from China who has been living in Canada for the past two decades. I speak both Chinese and English and hold the Level 1-B Certificate of Mandarin Proficiency Test issued by the National Language Work Committee of China (level is equivalent to that of an announcer). Furthermore, I was awarded the honorary Certificate of Overseas Outstanding Teacher issued by the Overseas Chinese Affairs Commission of the State Council of China. I was responsible for planning engaging lesson plans, making interesting and thought-provoking assignments, and creating meaningful assessments for students all over the world from Kindergarten through Grade 12/adult. The content that I teach includes pinyin, Chinese characters, vocabulary, grammar, dialogue, listening, reading, and writing. Junying (June) Zhao is an excellent teacher. Her lesson was challenging, interesting and enjoyable. During the lesson she introduced me to a plethora of new vocabulary, helped me with the proper enunciation of words, and discussed myriad topics with me.
