🌸美和Miwa⛄

I love doing my Japanese lessons with Miwa!! She is so fun to talk to and is always very patient with me when I forget words I have trouble with my pronunciation. I recommend her to anyone that is trying really hard to improve their conversation skills!!

日本さんはとても楽しかったです。彼はめちゃくちゃ優しいです。会話の練習はすごい。 Miwa san is great! I am a beginner at Japanese and she was so kind and patient! This was my first lesson trying to speak and listen only with Japanese! No english! I felt a bit stressed because it is a new experience, but Miwa san’s happy personality is so reassuring! I am excited for more speaking practice with her!

I have had maybe ten lessons with Miwa Sensei so far. It is always a wonderful experience. She has such a warm, encouraging, positive personality. I really look forward to our weekly meetings. I cannot recommend her highly enough.

Today I did a 1-hour news reading lesson and Miwa-sensei recommended choosing articles from NHK News which may be challenging but helpful for me as I intend to take N2 in the near future. While my main goal is to improve my conversational skills, I had spoken about taking N2 once and am happy that Miwa-sensei remembered and used it as a consideration for recommending suitable news reading materials. I have also taken 10 30-mins casual conversation lessons and slowly warmed up to it after the fifth session. Miwa-sensei is friendly, engaging, and encourages me to speak as much as possible. I try to think of potential things/topic to talk about if something interesting happened recently, but Miwa-sensei will ask questions if I have nothing prepared. The topics we talked about ranged from food to fashion to soft toys :)
