We started today's lesson by going over my homework and she cleared up some funny double-meaning words which definitely things that could trip up foreigners traveling to Korea. It made me realize how useful it is to learn the language for a better travel experience. We also dove into Korean numbers, which was a lot to take in, but Namhee made it easy to follow and enjoyable.

For today's lesson we started off by learning the names of the days in Korean. We did not just memorize them, but also dived into the background of where those names come from, in which Namhee explained the Sino-Korean words behind the name of each day. This made the vocabulary much more meaningful and easier to remember. For the rest of the session, we reviewed the helping toshi. The way she explained it made it both fun and insightful.

We began today’s lesson with a conversation about visas and useful vocabulary and conjugations related to traveling. After that, we moved on to discussing the different ways to pronounce the possessive particle in Korean. I’m starting to realize that Korean is more complicated than I originally thought, especially with all the grammar and pronunciation rules. But learning it with Namhee keeps things fun and engaging, even when the language gets tricky.

Another great lesson with Namhee today! We started by chatting about K-dramas and she explained the Korean title of the one I’m currently watching. It turns out to be completely different from the English version and deeply rooted in Korean culture. We then reviewed the helping toshi and moved on to the connecting toshi. I really appreciate how Namhee weaves culture into the language and makes learning so much more engaging.

Today's lesson with Namhee was both challenging and rewarding. We reviewed the Korean particles for subject, object, place and time, as well as the possessive article. What stood out today was the introduction to the helping particle. It’s definitely more complex than the others, but Namhee guided me through the basics with patience. I’m very much looking forward to diving deeper into the helping particle next week.
