Julie

I've been taking free talking lessons with Julie once or twice a week for nearly three years now. She is experienced and knowledgeable, as well as kind and gracious when correcting my mistakes. Through natural conversations on diverse topics with varying levels of complexity, she's helped me expand my vocabulary and grasp of grammar. She provides explanations that match my level of understanding and gives insightful suggestions on which words are suitable to use in which contexts. Thanks to her, when I visited Korea for the first time, even though I'd only been studying Korean for 3 years, I was able to get around easily and surprise those I spoke to with how confidently and comfortably I could carry on a conversation. 선생님 진심으로 감사합니다! 앞으로도 재미있는 얘기 많이 했으면 좋겠어요~

I enjoy my lessons with Julie. She makes learning a difficult language like Korean fun. She does her best to correct my many mistakes. And, she helps me with understanding my Integrated Korean High Intermediate textbook that I use in a college course. She provides me with explanations in both English and Japanese which I find helpful in understanding the grammar concepts. She is not only a good teacher but a good person. I highly recommend her.

信頼できる先生とコツコツ長く続けたいと思っていたので、とてもいい先生と出会えてよかったです。 今の私のレベルを確認してくださり、その後必要なレッスンプランを提示してくれました。説明もわかりやすくて日本語も英語も話せる先生なので質問もしやすくて助かります。楽しくレッスンできました。今後も続けたいです。

I'm an American living in Japan and have been learning Japanese for the past 2 years since I came here. I want to learn Korean because it has some similarities to Japanese and I love Korean culture! My Japanese is only intermediate level, but Julie was so great to take beginner Korean lessons with!! She can speak so many languages, so I felt comfortable using Japanese and English. I really recommend her lessons!!! 私日本に住んでいるアメリカ人です。日本語をまだ勉強していて、今は中級くらい。韓国語と日本語がちょっと似ているから最近韓国語を勉強し始めました。ジューリ先生と日本語でレッスンを受けてとてもスムーズでした。先生の日本語がすごい上手です。私は韓国語の初心者けど、レッスンが本当に良かったです。先生からいい勉強仕方のアドバイスももらいました。先生、ありがとうございました！

I enjoyed talking with Julie in Korean. I had forgotten many words but she was patient and wrote many words and sentences for me. There was no dead time during the lesson. I could ask my questions about Korean in Japanese too. Thank you.
