Cultural Fluency and IELTS Readiness My Name is Craig. I am from Cleveland, Ohio, USA, and I live in Mérida México with my dog Lefty. I've been teaching English as a Second Language for around 10 years. I am very interested in language and communication, and am a fan of literature. Learning Spanish has helped me to be a better teacher. I enjoy watching sports, mostly baseball, and I practice yoga and ride a skateboard and a bike. I love cooking, nature, animals and discussing history, medicine, technology, literature, economics, culture or just about anything. I've traveled to many countries and worked in a variety of different jobs. I enjoy meeting new people and learning more every day. I have met thousands of students from all over the world. I take a genuine interest in each of my students and do whatever I can to help you succeed. I try to keep lessons relaxed and informal and to teach with a combination of sensitivity, precision, and, humor. It is important that you feel at ease and are not afraid to try new things. I do my best to encourage you to reach outside of your comfort zone and to lift yourself to the next level. Over the years I have developed an ability to understand what is blocking my students and often can explain things that they have not been able to understand before.
