Hi there!
My name Eduardo Huizar and I live in Mexico City. I love working out, reading, watching movies (mainly old movies),listening to music, traveling and go sightseeing. I'm a mexican teacher passionate about languages, linguistics and culture. I'm just six months shy of earning a degree in Teaching English as a Foreign Language at UNAM. Therefore I've had experience teaching both English and Spanish. I love teaching because as a teacher, we do not only share our language, but also share our own culture.
Me as a Teacher
I'm a very passionate and caring teacher. I've had the chance to teach students from different levels, ages and nationalities. I started teaching 3 years ago, since my freshman year in university to gain experience and confidence and I'm glad to realize that I have made progess in this field. About one year ago, as part of the mandatory internship, I took part in a programm where I taught Spanish to foreign students from all over the world, since then I enjoy sharing my language and culture.
My lessons & teaching style
During the first class we will get to know each other and go over your goals and interests. I don't have a specific teaching method, because every student has different learning styles. Nevertheless, our classes will be student-centered where you will be speaking Spanish most of the time and you will learn new words, idioms, expressions, and so on. Don't be afraid of making mistakes, since mistakes are the stairs we climb to reach success.
I give homework based on what we covered in class and I can also suggest you extra resources to help you .
Our classes can be on zoom or skype depending on the one that suits you best.

I love my conversations with Eduardo. I have only been learning for three weeks, so I appreciate his extreme patience and that he speaks very slowly. He gives me a lot of space to try and get the word I want using only spanish, and gently corrects me along the way. Highy recommend.

My first lesson with Eduardo was incredibly engaging and interesting. I already feel much more confident in my ability to master Spanish. Eduardo is great at providing space for me to find the right words and remember things at my own pace. It's an optimal teacher-student dynamic for me.
