My hobbies and interests.
Aerobatics, playing the guitar (flamenco, bossa nova, classical, singing while playing), off-road biking, horseback riding.
I love aerobatics, so I went to the US to train as a pilot and got my license.
I've traveled to the US several times specifically for aerobatics.
I have also competed in an aerobatics competition held in Arizona.
I enjoy horseback riding and have been to Mongolia.
I studied Mongolian hoping to communicate with the nomadic people.

Me as a Teacher
My Japanese language skills. Teaching experience, etc.
I attended a Japanese language teaching school to study teaching methods and conducted trial lessons.
In 2019, I also passed the "Japanese Language Teaching Proficiency Test".
I'm a "Language Geek" and have studied Spanish, Mongolian, German, and more besides English.
From my experience studying these foreign languages, I know the tricks of the trade: what's needed to learn a foreign language, what causes confusion, and how to achieve understanding.
I also understand the differences in thinking patterns between languages.
This knowledge will surely be useful to you when learning Japanese.
My lessons & teaching style
Generally, I conduct lessons in Japanese.
I don't use textbooks.
Since you can understand textbooks by reading them yourself, spending time aimlessly reading textbooks with a teacher during an online lesson is a waste of time.
Of course, if you encounter anything you don't understand while reading a textbook, feel free to ask questions anytime.
I'll explain that point until you fully understand it.
Google Docs is convenient, so if you'd like, create a document and send me the link.
However, this is not required.
We'll have conversations or read books/articles you want to explore, then discuss or I'll explain any grammar points, expressions, or pronunciation that come up.

In this lesson we talked about the long road to learning Japanese. I started teaching Japanese myself and we discussed what is the best way to approach Japanese for beginners. We also talked about the difference between conversational Japanese and Japanese found in manga and comics. As usually a very thorough and interesting lesson. I highly recommend Toshi Sensei. このレッスンは日本語の戦略アプローチする話し合いました。最近、わたしも日本語始めたは教えてので「なにか一番おすすめ教えてスタイルがあたんとおもいますか」最近このかんじはよくかんがえています。でも私の生徒はまんがだけ教えてもいい問いましたからちょと大変ですよね。

Toshi San did a great job with jumping around a few topics I wanted to cover for an upcoming trip of mine to Japan. I do think the lesson structure and language barrier was a bit challenging for me given I’m a complete novice and probably needed a bit more structure for what was covered and what I should be doing through the class. I appreciate his help and guidance 🙏🏼
