This past month was my 6th month under Kosuke's tutoring. I can see and feel great progress. 2 things I've noticed in particular are that my conversation speed is picking up and I'm becoming aware of many nuances to Japanese I previously had no idea about. Kosuke continues to both push and pull me forward. He does a great job identify and drilling weak points and setting the right learning speed that works for my ability and schedule. I really appreciate his lectures that highlight importance nuances. I can tell he's not just teaching, but also personally fascinated by language differences. Thanks for helping me level up!

I really enjoy instructor Kosuke's style. He's patient, gives very clear explanations, and understands both English and Japanese at a deep level. I've noticed a big improvement in my grammar and feel more confident to speak to others in Japanese.

Kosuke-sensei is a patient and knowledgeable teacher. I have been studying with him for the past three months, and I plan to continue our lessons for the foreseeable future. His classes are extremely interactive, which was a very important factor for me. He is also exceptionally well-organized; this was something that immediately impressed me, as many teachers on iTalki are not as structured. Lastly, Kosuke-sensei identified the specific areas I needed to focus on and has demonstrated an ability to customize his classes to suit a student's individual needs.

I booked a lesson with Kosuke to prepare for a job interview. Kosuke is a straightforward, honest teacher and I can tell he has a lot of valuable professional experience. I was a bit blindsided during my lesson, however, because I was told to fix grammatical mistakes in my interview script with AI, which I was not expecting or informed of prior to the lesson. It was surprising especially as there were many reviews from students highlighting his patience in correcting their Japanese. For potential students who would like to book an interview course, I suggest making sure your script is as polished as possible so you can maximize your practice time.
