My name is Danni Woods, and I am a high school Spanish teacher in the United States. I am a lover of the Spanish language and the world. As a native English speaker, I am always looking for ways I can foster a love for the Spanish language and culture in those I teach! My mission is to help others shift their view of home from one place to the world through language. I am a wife and mother of 2. I love to sing, dance, cook, and try new restaurants and experiences. My favorites to watch are YouTube and Marvel movies. I have experience not only as a teacher but also in healthcare. My mission in life is to ENJOY it! As a Spanish teacher, I aim to create a safe and engaging learning environment where my students are able to be comfortable in the process of building their proficiency in a new language. I love to mix my students' interests with language to make it fun! Using a mixture of comprehensible input and grammar-centered teaching strategies, I set a foundation for students in the skills of reading, writing, speaking, and listening in Spanish. I encourage my students to view mistakes they may make along the way as teaching tools to help them improve! My lessons are individualized and tailored to students' needs and interests. I am certified to teach K-12 Spanish in the US and am currently teaching high school Spanish. I am comfortable teaching students, children, and adults.
