Sofía is a very talented teacher. She knows how to use materials and tools efficiently, corrects your mistakes without making you feel interrupted, and can explain the grammar clearly and comprehensively. While doing all this, she manages to make the classes feel relaxed, fun and interesting. She is a real professional and I recommend her classes.

I have learned Italian, Portuguese and now I am learning Spanish. I have had dozens of teachers on Italki and on Preply, and I am not exaggerating when I say that Sofía is special. The classes are lots of fun and we are covering grammar as well. I always hated grammar but Sofía knows how to explain dry topics with a touch of humor, which makes it much easier to digest. I have been taking classes with my girlfriend since the beginning of January and we are on our way from zero to hero. The first classes were still in English and now, 40 days later, we are already talking entire classes in Spanish. Off course you always have to put in the effort yourself learning a language, but Sofía is a great motivation! We hope that we are going to have many more classes an thank you so much Sofía! Sofia is my favorite Spanish teacher. I will be her student as long as possible. I have been learning from her for 6 months or so and my Spanish is much better. I am definitely advancing, I'm much more conversational. I'm now able to engage in basic dialogue with native speakers thanks to our lessons. I highly recommend working with her. She teaches all levels.

Sofía is an outstanding listener and teacher. She is not only prepared for each lesson, but she also takes notes that help move your learning to the next level - not all teachers do this, or are able to do it without taking away from the conversation. She has a way of pushing you without overly frustrating you - this is a gift. Further, if you're stuck on a subject, she has a way of walking you through the 'why' of the lesson better than any teacher if I've ever worked with. I struggled with the subjunctive for decades, until I started working with Sofía - she cleared it up for me in 5 minutes.
