Hello there! My name is Loreta and I am excited to be your new italki tutor!
I have a passion for languages and a curiosity for different cultures. In my free time, I like to read, play, and learn different musical instruments, do yoga, and learn languages. I also really enjoy spending time in nature, traveling, and meeting new people from all over the world. Maybe you can already notice some interests you share with me? I'm positive that we will manage to find something to talk about :)Me as a Teacher
I adapt to my students depending on their language level, needs and desires. For some, it may be engaging conversations about different topics, for others it may be grammar and vocabulary exercises, or a combination of everything. I strive to make the lessons interesting, fun, and simple (yet also enough challenging).My lessons & teaching style
My main lesson types are:
Conversational practice, which is for students who already have some knowledge in Latvian, where we work on speaking skills, pronunciation, and vocabulary, and we will have fun and explore interesting topics.
General practice, which is for students of any level, starting from Complete beginner, where we combine all aspects of learning a language: grammar, vocabulary, reading, listening, speaking
On our first lesson we can get to know each other and talk about your needs and desires for learning Latvian and what kind of format would be the best. :)My teaching material
