Flexible & patient English teacher with more than 3 years experience, who works to student's goals! ⁠Hello, I'm Joanna, a native English speaker from Scotland, UK. I've been an English teacher for 4 years. I love being able to adapt to each student and helping my students achieve their goals, for example: speaking more confidently and naturally with fellow travellers, taking part in meetings in English at work, or preparing for an IELTS exam. I also love meeting people from all over the world! My students always tell me that I am a patient teacher with a flexible approach and a very mild Scottish accent! My lessons are a safe place for making mistakes and exploring the language. For this reason, I can always challenge my students beyond their comfort zone while keeping it relaxed. I'm also an amateur musician, which is why I am delighted to offer both English lessons and English lessons through singing for music lovers :) I love singing and playing the piano and think that music is a great way to learn a language- while improving your musical skills at the same time! My general English lessons are available to A2-C2 levels (A1 para falantes de português). In a typical lesson we can: practice real-life scenarios, study a grammar topic, read an article together, all with feedback as we go. This is very flexible because it depends on the student’s goals. My lessons with singing are mostly aimed at students with some prior knowledge of English (B2+). They will build on what you’ve already learnt in English, expand your vocabulary and improve your pronunciation.
