CIE A Levels - Cambridge International Examinations - 2016I studied Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics at a Pre-University level or Year 1 of the American college system. It is also Year 1 of medical school in some countries. The course follows the Cambridge syllabus and the final exam is marked by CIE.

I was top of the class and form in English for the majority of my time during my upper secondary years. I was also part of the school debate team.

Some of the areas of law I studied include Common Law Reasoning, Company Law, Contract Law, Criminal Law, Equity & Trusts, EU Law, Evidence Law, IP Law, Jurisprudence, Land Law, Law of Tort, Legal Systems & Methods, Public Law, Animal Law, Family Law, International Law and Internet Law & Regulation. All academic classes were conducted in English.
We had some modules in Malay too.
I also took German classes for a year, passing the A2+ level exam.

Home TutorI taught schoolchildren, aged 6-18, English, Malay and Mandarin Chinese using the Malaysian and International syllabus (IGCSE) Mandarin Chinese, Malay and English. The students included both native and second language students. I helped them grasp language concepts, learn vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, reading, writing, listening and speaking, so that they could both pass their exams with flying colours (good grades) and be able to converse freely in the target language.

After all these lessons, I have learned a lot. At the beginning, it was difficult to talk about things and sometimes I would stop because I had nothing to say (in English). Now, after practicing my writing, thinking and speaking skills, I find that I am able to speak longer and make connections between different topics. We no longer have to keep thinking about what to say next. Instead, the ideas flow naturally. The next goal is to become more fluent and to keep improving in these things. Thank you for being a good teacher! :)
