Renu Nanda

Renu was very fun to learn from. She clearly enjoys teaching! I enjoyed the fast pace of the class and was able to write down a LOT of new vocabulary. Had a little trouble understanding some explanations but she was able to slow things down or switch to English when I got overwhelmed. This was my first time having conversation mostly in Tamil. It was hard but I'm really looking forward to the next class! As Renu says, practice practice practice!!!! :)

Renu lessons are engaging. She got suitable materials to learn; she knows how to adapt to my learning style, she listens well. In addition, she has a great personality ideal for teaching.

My second Tamil teacher on italki and it was great! Teacher Renu Nanda spent a couple of minutes to introduce herself and started off the lesson with a good pace, correcting the pronounciations and being very encouraging! It made me feel comfortable and confident that I will be able to master the lanaguge with her help. She also gave examples and some pronouciation tips as some of the letters might sound similar to beginners like me. She also gave some pronouciation homework so that we can practice during the next lesson. Teacher Renu Nanda also reviewed what we've learnt today and said what will be learned in the next lesson so that I can anticipate for it. Overall, I've enjoyed the lesson and will continue to learn from this teacher.

Renu has been an excellent Tamil teacher! She was able to determine my level quickly. She goes through material slowly and thoroughly. She instructs in Tamil and encourages me to speak in Tamil as well, which is helping a lot. Most importantly, she is incredibly friendly, patient, and easy to talk to and ask questions to. Classes with her are casual and fun!
