My name is Ekaterina, I’m 32 years old, and I’m a Russian language teacher. I’m an open-minded, positive, and friendly person with a good sense of humor 😊
I currently live between Sochi and Munich. Before that, I lived near Lake Baikal — the deepest and one of the cleanest lakes in the world, located in Eastern Siberia.
I have many hobbies: traveling, photography, playing the guitar, learning Serbian, reading classical literature, listening to rock music, and going for long walks. And most importantly — I truly love the Russian language!
Besides Russian, I speak English, German, and Serbian, so even if you're a complete beginner, we will easily find a way to communicate.Me as a Teacher
I have a background in journalism and linguistics, with a specialization in teaching Russian as a foreign language. I studied at the Higher School of Economics, one of the leading universities in Russia.
With over 8 years of teaching experience, I have worked with students of all ages (from 6 to 85), different nationalities, and all levels (from complete beginners to advanced learners).
Creating a friendly and supportive atmosphere is very important to me. Your goals always come first, so each lesson is based on an individual learning plan, using a variety of materials and resources. My lessons & teaching style
My goal is to help you start speaking Russian as quickly as possible. I explain even complex topics in a simple and engaging way.
Using different skills helps you learn faster, so in our lessons we will speak, listen, read, and write — always adapted to your needs and preferences.

I have been learning Russian for the past 3 years and I am so happy to have found Katya, as she is an absolutely incredible Russian tutor. Her knowledge and teaching style is vast and interesting and she is very easy to practice my Russian conversational skills with. I strongly recommend her for any level, whether you are a beginner or already advanced. She is always prepared with an interesting topic and/or lesson plan and she makes learning russian very fun!

Kata has been very encouraging and helpful in my Russian learning. The language can be very complicated and difficult, but Kata can break things down into manageable parts and has a wealth of patience for those like myself who make the same mistakes several times and need frequent reminders.
