Hello, my name is Makiko. I live in Kanagawa prefecture, Japan. I enjoy playing piano and cello, watching Japanese TV dramas, and Japanese animes. And I love traveling (abroad and domestic), and designs and modern arts. I'm also learning English, so I know the fun and the struggle to learn language. I help to improve your Japanese. こんにちは。　私（わたし）の　名前（なまえ）は　まきこです。日本（にほん）の　神奈川県（かながわけん）に　住んでいます。私（わたし）の　趣味（しゅみ）は、ピアノと　チェロです。旅行（りょこう）も　大好（だいす）きです。これまでに　１８ぐらいの　国（くに）に　行（い）ったことが　あります。日本国内（にほんこくない）の　旅行（りょこう）も　大好（だいす）きです。日本（にほん）の　テレビドラマや　アニメを　見（み）るのも　好（す）きです。デザインや　アートも　好（す）きなので、　ときどき　展覧会（てんらんかい）に　行（い）きます。

Me as a Teacher

I took certifications as a professional Japanese teacher, because I want to help people who learn Japanese. ☆I completed Japanese Language Teacher Training Course (420 hours). ☆I passed the Japanese Language Teaching Competency Test (administered by the Japan Educational Exchanges and Services). I want to do my best to improve your Japanese😊 Would you like to practice in my lesson? Before becoming a Japanese teacher, I worked for Japanese companies as a web director (for about 4 years), as a web and graphic designer (for about 6 years). I started teaching Japanese at a Japanese language school in Japan. I'm looking forward to talking with people all over the world through italki.

My lessons & teaching style

***Currently I am not accepting new student requests for grammar class, sorry.*** I speak Japanese in my lesson, if necessary, I help you with simple English. I have two lesson styles. １. Conversation lesson ２. Grammar lesson (including conversation practice) using the text book, “Minnnano nihongo” or "GENKI". If you don't have a textbook, it is okay. I will share my screen. Because I want to make lessons that matched your Japanese level, and the things you want to do, would you like telling me what do you want to do in Japanese? Makiko sensei is great! I am learning so much from her and she's always very flexible with the learning materials. She understands my needs and is always interested in hearing what I have to say. I love that she not only teaches the lesson materials, but she also shares details about her life and is curious about mine, so we get to know each other as well! I would recommend her, she is a wonderful teacher and person!
