My name is Rie. I was born and raised in Japan. I graduated university in the United States. I’ve lived in Singapore for 2 years and the states for several years.    こんにちは、リエです！日本語（にほんご）のネイティヴスピーカーですが、あめりかの大学（だいがく）を卒業（そつぎょう）しています。シンガポールに2年間（ねんかん）住（す）んだこともあり、アメリカにも数年（すうねん）住（す）んでいたことがあります;) I have experience teaching Japanese from beginner to proficient level students. I help prepare for interviews, Japanese exams, daily conversations, for travel, watching and understanding Japanese movies and anime without subtitles. I've had 9 lessons with Rie-sensei now, and I cannot recommend her enough. She is very patient with me (I am still very novice!) and engages with me brilliantly, and has made me feel very comfortable trying to push myself and try to give more complex answers which is helping me a lot - and should say a lot as I am not made comfortable very easily! She's excellent, a great listener, encouraging and just very very good at what she does.

Rie-san is an incredible teacher. She provided quality reading practice and enhanced my understanding of Japanese culturally as well as linguistically. "The Best Teacher in Town". Rie sensei will teach you grammar and a lot of vocabulary that are useful in daily conversation. She always listens to you very attentively and helps to correct your grammar. A very bright and sunny person that you can feel very safe and comfortable to talk with.
