Hello, My name is Lucia, my two native languages are Spanish and Italian.
I lived in Italy until I was 19 when I moved to Argentina. Here I am devoting myself to education. In my spare time I also participate in social projects, with the desire one day to work in the field of the reception and integration of migrants.
I’m passionate about poetry and literature, as well as science and botany. Among my hobbies are drawing, crafts, recycling and carpentry, and "chi piú ne ha piú ne metta" as the Italians say.

I started 8 years ago teaching Italian online. Currently, I am a teacher for people with special needs.
I am always working on my language teaching skills and in the future I would like to pursue studies of anthropology. My lessons & teaching style
If you are a self-taught learner, I would like to be a "guide", who gives you progressive challenges to move the needle forward. If you never studied Italian I can get you started, listening to your personal interests and preferences. If you have already learned some Italian, we can improve your level of knowledge and skills, following your priorities.
In my lessons there will always be a space of conversation. I transcribe what we say and students record themselves during the week to fix the structures and the rules used.

Lucia is the best Italian teacher on Italki. She’s incredibly supportive, kind and a very interesting person to talk to. I struggled today but she was able to guide me through kindly correcting my mistakes and giving me very useful tips on how to improve my speaking skills. She is very attentive to every little ditale and makes me correct my own mistakes first before giving me the correct answer. It’s incredibly useful. Grazie mille per tutto Lucia. I have spent 2 years learning Spanish on my own--trying lots of different programs including italki. But, I could not find a qualified teacher. One who was truly interested in teaching and could teach, who was patient and kind and able to assess the situation and pivot as needed. Who cared about my goals.
Since Lucia was recommended by a trusted friend, I gave her a try. I have had 3 conversations with Lucia so far and am amazed at her teaching skills. As a retired teacher, I appreciate good teaching!
Based on my request, we use very little English (my first language) during our meetings, which means I miss A LOT! Lucia is patient and willing to restate, in Spanish, to help me understand. When we use English, it is kept to a minimum.
Her notes ARE FANTASTIC! I cannot speak highly enough about this. I am able to review our conversations with ease. This allows me to be intentional in my daily review --which I have never been able to do before. Meet Lucia! She's great!

What a fun lesson it was! I lost the sense of time and thought that we had so much to talk about and the lesson ended without we were able to scratch the surface. I loved her energy, her patience and her creativity in keeping me talk and correcting me in a super funy way! Can't wait to have another lesson with Lucia!

It’s great to have conversations with Lucia. We do just 30-minutes and that’s fully enough for me at the moment as it still requires a lot of focus from me.. But Lucia really makes me speak and corrects me afterwards. It’s a fun experience
