Hello! My name is Caleb. I am an English language teacher currently living in Texas in the United States. I spent nearly the past decade of my life teaching English professionally in Seoul, South Korea. I studied Linguistics as a university student, with my focuses mainly being on Second Language Acquisition, and Sociolinguistics. I have experience learning various foreign languages, mainly Korean and Japanese. Language is my passion, and I want to share my love for Language with all of my students by helping them learn English.Me as a Teacher

I have experience teaching all ages of students. I have taught kindergarten, elementary/middle school, university, and all ages of adults. I also know what it's like to be a language student as well! I have studied various foreign languages my entire life. I think these things help me to better connect with each of my students. Every student learns differently, and it's my job as a teacher to understand how to best help each individual student. I'm here to help you!My lessons & teaching style
My teaching style is adapted to fit every student's needs. I have a rigid outline that I use to base my lessons on and change what I need to, depending on the student's needs. I try to create a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere in my classes. Don't be afraid to make mistakes! I help students every step of the way to improve their English abilities. I look forward to working with you very soon~!

Bachelorโs - Language & LinguisticsI earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Language & Linguistics from Baylor Univeristy in Waco, Texas. I focused my language studies on English, Korean, and Japanese. My linguistic study was specialized in Semantics & Pragmatics, Sociolinguistics, and First/Second Language Acquisition.

English Language InstructorI taught Elementary and Middle School students. The students focused mainly on essay writing, as well as reading comprehension and overall speaking ability.

English Language InstructorI taught a variety of adult-aged students. We focused mainly on conversational skills. I also taught a Book Discussion class, where we read and analyzed various novels in-depth, using English.

English Language InstructorI taught adult students mainly on conversation skills, as well as Business English. I also help my students with other various needs, such as test prep (IELTS, TOEFL, TOEIC Speaking), essay writing, presentation practice, resume help, etc.

๐๐จโ๐ซCaleb is a cooperative, attentive, and well-prepared teacher.
Even while I was speaking, he carefully took notes of my language mistakes, and after the conversation, he calmly provided clear and organized feedback.
He also offered a detailed guideline on how future lessons could be structured, and he actively welcomed and incorporated my input, which I really appreciated.
Although our full lessons havenโt officially started yet, I already feel that Caleb is the perfect teacher Iโve been looking for.
With his extensive experience in Korea, I believe heโll be especially helpful for Korean students when it comes to correcting pronunciation and sentence errors.

Teacher Caleb has rich teaching experience, and able to point out many of my expression/pronunciation errors. He also well prepared for class questions and topic, so student don't need to worry about what to talk about in class.
In terms of conversational English, his teaching is better than any other teacher I've ever had in italki.

It was really fun! You can talk to him about anything, and he always keeps the conversation going with great questions. It feels super natural and you never feel judged, which makes it easy to just relax and talk. We practiced normal, everyday conversation and I could really get into the flow, even if I made mistakes โ which felt totally okay. Iโd definitely recommend him if you want to feel safe and confident while improving your speaking skills.
