About Me

italki teacher since May 27, 2021

I have been studying and learning foreign languages, including Spanish, Chinese and Zulu, for over 25 years. I have trained as a public speaker and a singer. I am originally from the USA and now I live in South Africa. I have lived, studied, worked and travelled in over 50 countries. I am very excited to help you on your language learning journey.

Me as a Teacher

I studied political science, international relations and law at university in the United States. I also completed my TEFL Course in South Africa. I am a new English tutor on Italki. I will use TEFL techniques, and I will also share resources for improving your vocabulary, pronunciation and natural style of speaking.

My lessons & teaching style

My focus is on communication, conversation and building your confidence. I will work with you to learn important vocabulary for your everyday situations. We will work together to improve grammar and pronunciation in a natural and relaxed way. I will share with you many tips and resources I have learned in my own foreign language studies.
