Learn Russian Step by Step: Beginners to Advanced Speakers Hi, I'm Lera, a native Russian speaker and language teacher with around three years of experience teaching Chinese to students of different ages and levels. I studied Oriental Studies and have lived and studied in China, so I know exactly how it feels to start a new language from zero as an adult: the new alphabet, the strange sounds, the fear of speaking. I make that process simple and calm. If you're a beginner, we'll start with the alphabet and sounds, then move quickly to useful phrases you can use right away. Grammar comes in small, clear steps, with plenty of speaking practice. If you're already intermediate or advanced, my lessons focus on real, natural Russian: everyday conversation, understanding fast speech, and sounding less like a textbook. Every lesson ends with a short summary of new words and the most useful corrections, so you always leave with something concrete.
