Michiko

Speaking and listening have always been my weaker areas in Japanese, so I’m really glad I pushed myself out of my comfort zone and took a lesson with Mishiko-sensei. She was incredibly patient, even with how nervous I was, and explained everything in a way that was simple and easy to grasp.

I highly recommend Michiko sensei for your Japanese lessons. Michiko sensei always patiently explains difficult grammar points and vocabulary to me, and provides helpful knowledge beyond the textbooks, which helps me understand more how native speakers use the language on a daily basis. Moreover, she helps me gain more confidence with my speaking by having short conversations with me at the beginning of every lesson. Thanks to Michiko sensei, I made a lot of progress since I started my Japanese learning journey with her.

Very fun lesson practicing n3 grammar with a mix of natural conversation in japanese based on the textbook contents. とても楽しいレッスンでした。N3の文法「ようにする、ようになる」を勉強しながらいろいろなことについて話しました。

I've had lessons from several teachers on Italki and elsewhere and I cannot recommend Michiko sensei highly enough. Her professionalism, honed over decades of teaching experience, is immediately evident in each lesson. While her classes follow the textbook, she enriches the material with her own custom exercises and grammar activities that really enhance the learning experience. In addition to her vast knowledge and skill, she is incredibly friendly and has a great sense of humour. Her warm personality quickly puts you at ease, making every lesson enjoyable and something to look forward to. Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced Learners can all benefit as her English is also great so things can be explained in English first before moving into Japanese when you are ready.

Really good lesson, we learned Xばxほどy grammar. Michiko had a great lesson plan and went through the tricky bits like i adjactive conjugation. みちこ先生のレッスンをすればするほど上手になる！
