DELTA-qualified with over seven years' teaching experience Hi, I’m Sean. I'm a DELTA-qualified English teacher with over seven years' experience teaching both online and in the classroom. The DELTA is one of Cambridge's highest-level qualifications for experienced English language teachers, with a strong focus on practical teaching, lesson planning, and understanding how people learn languages. I began teaching myself languages in 2018 whilst studying History at the University of Leeds, including a year at the Sorbonne in Paris, where I studied entirely in French. Since then, I’ve continued learning languages independently for research, enjoyment, and daily life – including Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Catalan, German, Mandarin, Russian, and Japanese. These experiences have shaped the way I think about language learning. I now live in Hanoi, where I’m completing a Master’s degree in History at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. As part of the degree, I have to carry out research, write essays, give presentations, and have discussions entirely in Vietnamese. When I’m not teaching, you’ll usually find me playing or watching sports, enjoying a good film or series, reading and writing, or spending time with the people (and dog!) I love. I've recently returned to italki after a few years away, with new lesson types designed around what I've learned since – my earlier students' reviews are below. I look forward to working with you and helping you reach your goals.

Really good, he has good skills to change the content of the class if it is needed and always make research to help me improve my skills regarding my specific problems or the topic spoken in the class.

Always a pleasure to have lesson with him. I learn new words every time, we discuss about interesting topics and as a plus I get a deep understanding of English culture and related history.
