Annie conducts our lessons almost entirely in German, making good use of pictures to avoid speaking much English. As a beginner, I really appreciate her low-anxiety learning environment. She speaks clearly and carries as much of the conversation as is needed, while gently drawing whatever mangled words and phrases out of me that I feel ready to contribute. As she explains in her video, she is familiar with 2nd language acquisition theories and practice, and has put a lot of thought into the efficacy of various teaching techniques. I have too, and I think Annie has the right approach.

If you want to learn German through authentic immersion, Annie is the perfect teacher. She conducts her lessons almost entirely in German, which is exactly what I was looking for. Even though she speaks German throughout the whole class, her classes never feel intimidating. The atmosphere is fun and pressure-free. On top of that, Annie is exceptionally patient; whenever I struggle with a concept, she pauses and takes her time to give a thorough explanation.

I had a great first lesson with Annie. I am taking an A2 German class and wanted more speaking practice. She speaks at a level I can understand and introduces new vocabulary in a natural way. I think I will see a lot of improvement!

Annie is a wonderful teacher. Her classes are always fun and informative. She is very supportive and kind. I highly recommend her. Her method is very good and I believe it is the best way to learn a new language. I always look forward to having more classes with her!
