Hello everyone! My name is Ruby and I am your new English teacher :) I have a bachelors degree in music, but I am a huge lover of language learning!!! I have been learning French for almost 5 years, and German for almost 4! Aside from that, I am also fluent in Spanish. Along with this, I'm currently doing a certification in translation/interpretation.
Hola a todos! Mi nombre es Ruby y soy tu nueva profesora de inglés :) Tengo una licenciatura en música, pero soy una gran amante del aprendizaje de idiomas! He estado aprendiendo francés durante casi 5 años, ¡y alemán durante casi 4! Aparte de eso, también hablo español con fluidez. As a teacher, it is important that we have FUN!!! Yes, we will learn, but we will make it an enjoyable process. I do believe the most important thing is that we practice speaking because as someone who continues to work on her speaking skills in her languages, I can tell you that I definitely see the most progress focusing on the output of language learning. We will focus on any topics that are of interest to you. By doing that, we will begin constructing your little islands of communication :) My lessons & teaching style
I always want you to be comfortable! If you make mistakes, who cares? No need to apologize. No one is perfect. I will offer corrections and we will keep on going. I would also suggest we focus on a particular topic for a few lessons until you feel completely comfortable in said topic, but I'm always open to discussing whatever it is you want :)
Je veux toujours que tu sois à l’aise ! Si tu fais des erreurs, peu importe ? Pas besoin de t’excuser. Personne n’est parfait. Je vais proposer des corrections et nous continuerons.
