My first lesson with Yifang老師 and it was amazing! Learned so much without it feeling like it too jammed packed. She was patient, and added onto sentences I was saying. Definitely recommending her for anyone looking to learn mandarin!

Yifang is very creative and loves teaching, you can really feel it from her lessons planning: Today we watched and analyzed a video about “Typhoon days” in Taiwan and not only it was fun and entertaining, but a great way for me to learn new words and slang, while learning more about the culture! Very interesting and useful ! Thank you 👏🏻👏🏻

During this lesson, we discussed various memes, colloquial expressions, and formal phrases around the theme of "lifestyle choices." This was a fantastic way to learn more about Taiwanese culture (festivals, holidays, popular foods), and also to practice recognizing and pronouncing words in traditional Chinese. Yifang brings a relaxed, friendly and helpful energy to the lesson, and follows up with written materials so that there isn't too much pressure to take notes during the meeting.

Yi Fang is a great teacher! Patient, flexible and helpful! A bonus for me is that I can see both simplified and traditional characters depending on the material. Despite previously having studied Beijing Chinese, Yi Fang's speech is very clear to me. Highly recommended!

In today's lesson, Yifang presented a well-structured lesson on the problem of "indecisiveness" in everyday life, complete with grammar points, a brief reading exercise, a comic strip for discussion, and a few questions to answer as homework. We also reviewed my writing exercises from last class. Yifang takes the time to explain everything clearly—and helpfully showed me the stroke order for some new traditional characters that I hadn't seen before. A great class!

Yifang provided a great introductory class. I could definitely feel how activated my mind was afterward, which showed me how much I was learning. It helped me see the language from a different perspective and better understand the meaning of certain phrases, as well as what is required to learn them. She’s a very patient and prompt teacher. She didn’t waste time as we went straight into learning. The class also gave me a clearer picture of the steps involved in beginning to learn Mandarin. Thank you for your care.
