I'm Diana, I live in southern Italy. I am a foreign language enthusiast. I'm a certified Forest Bathing Guide, I spend most of my spare time into the nature. I'm also an artist of intuitive paintings. I enjoy doing yoga and pilates. I also love reading and travelling. I have a blog laforestadiartemide.com
I was born and raised in Switzerland so I've been bilingual Italian and French since birth. Then in college I studied Spanish and English.
Teaching languages makes me very happy because I love the exchange of cultures and ideas that there is with students.

I'm a very friendly teacher, in my classes I create a very relaxed environment.
I have learned several languages myself and this helps me a lot in teaching because I can give a lot of advice to my students. I also like to use my creativity in my lessons to create original activities. My classes are very dynamic. When I teach I give my soul, all my life experience is in the lessons.My lessons & teaching style
My motto for teaching is "Learning by doing," so lots of practice. I use a communicative method in which Italian is spoken from the very first lesson. There is not only Italian language in the lessons, but also Italian culture. I try to include all 4 skills in each lesson. I like to use original texts rather than adapted ones. I also assign homework so that students consolidate what they have learned.My teaching material

I feel very fortunate to have found Diana on Italki as she is an excellent teacher. I have taken lessons with her for several months now. Diana is very organized and takes time to prepare each lesson for you. Her lessons are very well structured and she uses a variety of teaching materials. For example, in the Italian reading class, we read and then discuss short articles, stories and song lyrics. Diana chooses the topics based on my interests and what comes up in our conversation. Above all, Diana is a kind, patient teacher who knows how to motivate you and truly wants to see you progress and find joy in the learning process. I highly recommend her lessons!
