In my very first lesson, I was excited and nervous at the same time, because I'm a total beginner. She was patient with me and I was blown away at how much I ACTUALLY comprehended. I still have a long way to go, but I found the best Language Parent on the internet! My best advice for learning a language is ACQUIRE it! Don't "study" it. Chie-sensei is the best!

Chieko san is an outstanding teacher who follows the principles of Comprehensible Input in her lessons. Thanks to her thoughtful and engaging teaching style, I feel confident that I can learn Japanese naturally, just as I would acquire a first language. She creates an environment where understanding and communication come first, which makes learning enjoyable and effective. I highly recommend Chieko san to anyone looking to immerse themselves in Japanese in a way that feels intuitive and stress-free.

I've been learning with Chieko-Sensei for a few months now and couldn't be happier with our lessons. She's a very kind and helpful teacher who is always willing to explore with me. Even though I'm still relatively early in my Japanese journey our lessons are comprehensible. She is really good at meeting me where I'm at language-wise and explains things so well I don't need my native language to understand. I look forward to our lessons every week, and each time they're over I feel both a little bit more connected to the language and culture, and a little bit more excited to try my best.
