Sarah is excellent! Her conversational lessons are a perfect balance of structured and unstructured exploration--she seamlessly weaves little lessons about language and culture into informal conversation such that you don't even realize how much you've learned after chatting with her. She also makes corrections in an unobtrusive way that doesn't interrupt the flow of conversation. And she brings a positive energy to every lesson which shows how much she enjoys teaching. After several lessons with Sarah and other Brazilian Portuguese tutors, I can confidently recommend Sarah to anyone who wants to improve their conversational Portuguese.

Sarah is a wonderful teacher. Very patient and takes time to explain things. I like her dynamic and flexible approach, when we come across a grammar point in conversation she is able to explain effectively. She is also very knowledgeable in the Brazilian culture. I highly recommend her!

Sarah is a wonderful professor. She has extensive experience as a teacher of Portuguese, and this is obvious in every lesson I have with her. I strongly encourage everyone considering her as a potential teacher to take a trial lesson. You will not be disappointed.
