About Me

I want my lessons to be as interactive as possible. Having experience teaching multiple nationalities, my main message in class is the following: it's only natural that you will make mistakes, we all do! That's how we learn! Language learning is confidence building.
I have been teaching in Bordeaux for over 3 years, with levels of English ranging from complete beginners to very advanced students. I prepare students for the IELTS examination as well the TOEIC Reading & Listening, but I also enjoy conversation or topic-driven lessons, encouraging a more relaxed environment where students feel like they can express themselves freely. For conversation and grammar lessons, I like using authentic material such as extracts from articles, books, music and film/TV. This allows you to study topics that interest you, but if you want a challenge, I can introduce you to some newer topics. We can also debate current affairs and work on presentation skills and delivery.My teaching material

In this lesson, Mathew and I talked about English accents from many different aspects which I found was very interesting. I think Matthew is very knowledgeable in terms of linguistics and I can learn a lot from him during the conversations. I look forward to having more talk or debate with him.
