Vitória is amazing. She is so easy to talk to. I can struggle through sentences without feeling insecure. She has taken me from only being able to understand speech that is deliberately slow and articulated to being able to understand how people talk in the real world. This has given me the confidence to use my Português in real world conversations with regular people rather than only listening to slow teaching videos. You should definitely sign up for classes with her!

Excellent !! that is the best word to define Vitória and her classes. She is an amazing teacher who thoroughly prepares the classes and finds your weaknesses to focus on them and strike a balance to finally become stronger in your grammar and pronunciation skills. I prepared my B2 exam with her and thanks to her I passed it. After that, we prepared the next step together and only 8 months later I passed my C1 level. He is also an amazing person who gives you enough confidence to believe in yourself and your goals. I highly recommend taking classes with her. It is very easy to talk to Vitória. Both because she talks slow and clearly and because she is good at making you feel welcome and comfortable. When you are just learning these are both essential traits.

When I finally decided to learn Portuguese, I was so fortunate to find Vitória Marques! I have looked forward to my classes with her every week for more than 3 years! As a language teacher myself, I recognize her excellence in teaching-- the delicate balance of listening and speaking. Of course I do 99% of the talking, but because she also speaks English, she knows what I'm trying to say even when exact translation may be challenging. If I ask for grammar, she will provide it, but we mostly figure out the grammar in context--which is the whole point of iTalki. Despite the fact that I am old enough to be her grandmother, we talk about everything. She even has me figuring out the lyrics to popular music! I wholeheartedly recommend Vitória to anyone who is looking for a knowledgeable, patient, fun, and gracious partner in learning Portuguese. She's the best!
