I am a native English speaker born and raised in the USA. I am TEFL certified and hold certifications in Teaching English Online & Business English. I hold a Master's Degree in Wildlife Ecology & Conservation. I have over 20 years of work experience in the Government (federal & state), Corporate, & Non-Profit worlds. I have taught adults ages 18+ for over the past 10 years.
I am intensely curious about the world around me - I am always asking "why?" or "how does that work?". I love to travel, hike, cook, and read. I am also a certified yoga teacher!Me as a Teacher
My goal as a Teacher is to provide a safe, judgment-free zone for my students to be themselves so they can relax and learn. I firmly believe that there's no "right way" to learn - there's only "your way". I work with you to find the learning methods that work best for you and I encourage you to take risks and make mistakes because that's how we learn! As your Teacher I will be your biggest cheerleader, right by your side cheering you on every step of the way. Your successes are our successes, let's celebrate them!

My lessons are custom built for each student's personal learning style and language goals. While I help with finding the right words (what to say), I also work with my students on WHEN and HOW to say those things. I feel this is often overlooked in language learning.
I work American culture into our lessons as much as possible because culture influences how we communicate. By understanding the "rules" of American culture, you will be more successful in your work place and in your personal life.
My goal in each lesson is to have fun, laugh, and learn. I love connecting people with the knowledge they need to succeed in their business and personal lives!My teaching material

I will definitely recommend Aimee. She is talkative and knowledgeable who can chat with you on various topics. During conversation classes, our topics can go randomly. At the same time, she is also resourceful by providing me learning materials to improve my grammar. She also helped me to review my resume into details, not only providing lots advises on wording and grammar, but also driving me to think deeper on the meanings I would like to express.

Aimee corrected my phrases because I tend to say verbs in the present, but she let me talk, and then she showed me, patiently, what I need to improve or practice, also with some phonetics.
