Hello, my name is Nelius Mbato. I was born and raised in Murang’a , Kenya. I speak four languages fluently,i.e, English , Swahili, Gikuyu and French. Both English and Kiswahili are official languages in my country. I currently reside in Mombasa, Kenya. I am a trained teacher teaching Swahili and French as second languages. I have had an extensive and exciting experience as a language teacher and I am looking forward to sharing not only my native language on the italki platform but also share different experiences from different parts of the world. As a teacher, I always strive to make my lessons as interactive , fun and interesting as possible. I also try to be dynamic in my teaching styles to accommodate all my students. My greatest joy is when my student is able to learn and is able to communicate language from beginner level to advanced level. I have had wonderful experiences with my students in my country and look forward to interacting with even more students from all over the world. Varied teaching styles are what I have been using in my face to face sessions and would therefore employ the same as they have proven to be instrumental in the learning process. These include but not limited to question and answer, brainstorming and lecture method. I intend to use various teaching and learning aids that include text documents, PDF files , audio files, articles and news among others. I cannot therefore wait to share this exciting journey with you on the italki platform.
