I’m Mayu, a Japanese language teacher. I specialize in grammar and natural, practical conversation. I lived in Taiwan for three years, so I understand the common challenges faced by Chinese-speaking learners. I also studied abroad in Australia, which helps me truly empathize with how difficult learning a foreign language can be. ※Lessons are conducted mainly in Japanese. If something is difficult to understand, feel free to ask questions in English or Chinese.

Mayu Sensei always provides an excellent lesson and is highly recommended. Her class structure is generally half conversation practice and then half grammar review, which works really well to help you warm up before you start tackling new concepts. Today's class was a little different in that because I hadn't done my homework, we just had a full hour of conversation practice which was excellent. Mayu is a skilled conversationalist and the hour was over before I realised. My Japanese skill level is quite basic and Mayu does an excellent job correcting my mistakes in a positive way that encourages me to do better.
