Language, Culture & Connection | Medical Doctor with a Passion for Languages I’m Samkeliso Khoza, a medical doctor from South Africa with a deep passion for language, culture, and human connection. I’m fluent in seven of South Africa’s twelve official languages, including isiZulu, isiXhosa, and South African Sign Language (SASL). I offer engaging, conversational online lessons in English, isiZulu, and Sign Language, tailored to your goals—whether you’re a complete beginner or looking to build confidence in real-life communication. My teaching style is relaxed, supportive, and practical, making lessons feel more like a meaningful conversation than a classroom. Beyond language teaching, I’m deeply interested in personal development & cultural diversity. I am an approachable, attentive, and passionate teacher who prioritises creating a supportive learning environment. I make sure my learners have the guidance, resources, and encouragement they need to progress with confidence. My lessons are learner-centred, flexible, and designed to help you feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and growing at your own pace. Umfundisi Samkeliso will make sure that you are learning and that you understand what you are learning. If you have any questions, he will not hesitate to explain to you while also encouraging you to arrive at the answer on your own. I feel a lot more confident about my knowledge of the language. Sam is a very knowledgeable teacher. However, what is most important is his gift of teaching. It’s one thing to know something but a totally different matter to be able to impart that knowledge to others in an understandable, efficient, and accurate manner. Kudos Sam!

Sam is honestly just a delight! It's so inspiring to be taught and listen to someone who has such a fundamental understanding of the structure of language and grammar. It's a real joy and his teaching style really feels like he's giving you building blocks to create a strong foundational knowledge. A real gem and a great teacher - highly recommend!
