Me as a Teacher
I used to teach English mainly to children (I do not teach children online), now thanks to italki I can also teach teenagers and adults which makes it more interesting and rewarding for me.
Once upon a time I was also learning English so I understand the challenges of the learning process my students are going through.
I am now trying to learn Spanish (a complete beginner again lol) and so I am going through the language learning process, just like my students, sharing all the joys and the frustrations which come from language studies.
Let's learn together and have fun 8)
My lessons & teaching style
I focus on conversation. From my personal experiences as a language student I know that conversation is what accelerates the learning to another level. Confidence is being built and at the same time the pronunciation and grammar are advancing naturally. I do enjoy being creative and spontaneous so there is always space for new teaching techniques and ideas from both sides.
Looking forward to meeting you!

I have been learning Czech from Katarina for over a year now with weekly learning sessions. She is a wonderful teacher: patient, kind, knowledgeable and fun. She is very professional, works hard and is very dedicated. My Czech language skills have accelerated tremendously: before I was hardly speaking. Now, it’s easy peasy and feels so comfortable. I highly recommend her for learning the Czech language!
- Je to fantastická učitelka češtiny! Bylo to nejlepší rozhodnutí, které jsem na své cestě za studiem češtiny udělal.

She's really nice tutor! She listened to what I wanted to learn and explored the best way for me to learn. She asked me a lot of questions, which was great because it gave me more opportunities to speak for myself.

Very interesting class focused on grammar. Katarina's methodology is based on listening , understanding and answering. Therefore, Katarina class is very interactive class. You must listen, understand and answer all the period, no time to sleeping . An excellent as well as real class. Thanks Katarina.

Katarina is very laid back and focuses more on daily conversations as a method of teaching. She helped me a lot on how to build sentences and phrases when talking to someone I just met or how to continuously build the conversations in Slovak. I talk about myself, the weather, what i like to do, and slowly build that on how would I say it in Slovak. She is on time and picks fun topics to teach. She suggests phrases and alternatives that would be easier for me to pronounce. I am still a beginner, but it feels I would be able to engage in a conversation comfortably with her help.
