Hi, I'm Alison and I've been in Italy for around 20 years. I'm an English native speaker and also speak Mandarin and Italian fluently, with a B1 in Korean. I'm currently working as an English teacher in a high school in the centre of Turin. I've worked in various language schools and state schools and have prepared students for English exams. I'm friendly, patient, humorous. Working professionals can relate to me really well as I've taught students from various backgrounds. Children love me as I'm funny and innovative! Mi definisco un’insegnante divertente, innovativa e attenta ai bisogni di ciascun alunno, sempre pronta a personalizzare il percorso didattico per valorizzare al massimo le potenzialità di ogni studente.

My lessons & teaching style

I focus a lot on conversation and work on role plays, debates and general topics during my lesson. Then I zoom into the weakness of each student and personalise a lesson just for him/her! Credo fermamente che la conversazione sia la chiave per imparare una lingua, per questo motivo le mie lezioni sono dinamiche, interattive e mirano a stimolare l’uso attivo dell’inglese.

Alison helped my daughter expand her vocabulary and improve reading skills effectively. She seems always has ways to make students want to talk and knows how to comfort them if they are in bad mood.
