I'm originally from the United States, but now call Italy my home for the last 24 years. Over the past twenty years, I've transformed hesitant speakers into confident, fluent English speakers, particularly success with IELTS speaking. Moving here with no knowledge of Italian taught me first-hand how language opens up new opportunities (and the power of laughing at mistakes!). I focus heavily on speaking and listening. I encourage students to speak freely and make mistakes. Making mistakes is how we learn. Too often, we want to form a perfect sentence in our native language and then try to translate it into English. Nine times out of ten, this is the biggest mistake. Start with simple sentences and, as your vocabulary improves, and build on that.My teaching material
