Hi, I'm Gino Alejandro, a 36 years old Peruvian-Italian, passionate about languages, hospitality, sports and cinema.
I grew up in Peru, where I studied English and Italian, before moving to Rome when I turned 18. I also lived in Barcelona for an Erasmus program. Faced with classes in Catalan, I couldn't resist signing up for a Catalan language class.
It's been a challenging yet rewarding journey to move overseas. My curiosity, passion for cultures and languages I speak opened doors for me in hospitality (hotels & restaurants), travel agencies, and clothing stores, combining additional interests: travel and human interactions.Me as a Teacher
Through tailor-made classes, my students breathe every aspect of the languages and their cultures. I enjoy sharing insights and experience so people may fall in love with Italian, Peruvian and Spanish cultures.
I'm sure that conversation is the key to excel in languages, although I believe that grammar does play an important part in the framework as a guide through this amazing journey.
I believe we're a little bit of every person we encounter in our lives - the same occurs with languages. By improving, we dress the part and cultivate in-depth knowledge to open doors to new experiences and opportunities in a way that only language learning provides. I've been teaching Spanish and English on and off for several years to family and friends. I've recently started teaching Italian to expats living in Rome as I've lived first-hand the struggles of learning new languages and getting used to totally different lifestyles. That's why I would like to help you along the way through the local way of living, as a "culture-shock-absorber": I'll be your guide, I'm constantly discovering new places and ways to travel around.
I know that every person uniquely approaches language learning, so classes are tailor-made, and I'm patient and empathetic. We can choose beforehand specific topics or aspects you want to talk about.

A really great lesson! Gino was incredibly friendly, helped correct me and give me the right words whenever I was lost, and was patient with me whenever I asked for things to be repeated. Very pleasant lesson and gladly recommending him!

As a timid and introverted person, I appreciate how Gino made me feel at ease; he's very calm and patient, and his explanations are concise. In addition, I was able to ask him questions in both English and Italian, which is very important for me because I use both languages intermittently.
As soon as our first lesson started, Gino asked me what my objectives were and how I wanted to improve my Spanish. Right now, I want to converse and only have a few rules explained so as not to overload myself, and he was very accommodating in following my request.
I particularly value his availability to send me additional material after our lesson (right now to improve the difficulties I face with "ser" and "estar").

I had a wonderful conversation this morning with Gino. He was very welcoming and easy to talk to. His Italian is beautiful, and it was especially helpful that he is also a native speaker of Spanish. We were able to speak about a variety of topics related to his two countries, Italy and Peru. The time went by very quickly, and I look forward to more conversations. Grazie mille !
