Melissa

After a year, I can say Melissa is such a great teacher! She sees what you need to work on, where you're strong at and she adapts the course following it and following what you ask her. A true professional. I can assure you will make progress. 多谢你！

I've been studying with Melissa for several months, two classes each week. Sometimes we use the book "Short-term Spoken Chinese" which is great. Other times we converse about a topic of my choosing. After class she sends me the new words or phrases from class which I input to an app for review and study. Couldn't ask for a better teacher.

Mei 老师 is great! I have been taking classes with her for close to a month and I have have nothing but good things to say about my experience. I am learning because I am traveling to China in a couple of months and was really eager to have a good basic knowledge, however I have felt this way before about other languages and have not been as disciplined as I could be; Mei has made the classes so enjoyable that I have not felt like slacking or doing something else.

I used to teach math at a university, so I know my way around a classroom. In particular, I know the difference between a good teacher and a great teacher. Melissa is a great teacher. I sorta feel like I want our class to never end. She keeps me engaged for the entire hour. At this rate, understand 新闻联播 in no time.

I have been with Melissa for over a year now, taking Chinese classes to help maintain my current skills and push them even further. She is great at explaining things in ways that I can understand at my level, and I learn a lot of new and useful vocabulary in our classes. When I took a short trip to China, I already started noticing all the new words that I was taught, and she is extremely professional when teaching, but also makes you feel like you are talking to someone you know. Would highly recommend as a teacher.
