I first started taking classes with 정쌤 when I was sixteen. When I took my first lesson, I was really nervous, but her patience and encouragement made me feel comfortable right away. Her engaging teaching style made every class both fun and useful and her lessons never feel strict—more like talking to a friend. Over the last two years, I’ve come up with my fair share of weird and hilarious sentences while trying to speak Korean, but 정쌤 never made me feel embarrassed about my mistakes. I’m so grateful for her patience, encouragement, and all the fun moments we’ve shared in class. If you’re looking for a passionate and supportive teacher, I highly recommend her! 정쌤의 수업을 처음 들었을 때 16살이었어요. 처음 수업을 들었을 때 정말 불안했지만 정쌤의 따뜻한 격려 덕분에 금방 편안해졌고 수업 방식도 너무 재미있고 좋아서 즐겁게 배울 수 있어요. 수업은 딱딱하지 않고 친구랑 이야기하는 것처럼 자연스러워요. 수업을 들으면서 한국어 문장을 만들 때 정말 이상하고 웃긴 문장을 많이 만들었지만, 정쌤은 실수 때문에 절대 부끄럽게 만들지 않게 해주셨어요. 항상 친절하게 가르쳐 주시고 응원해 주셔서 정말 감사해요. 따뜻하고 좋은 선생님을 찾고 있다면 정쌤을 강력 추천해요!

너무 이야기해서 즐거웠어요. 감사합니다.

I just had my 20th lesson with 정쌤 (I started out from zero Korean knowledge), and I decided to write a review. Well... this short writing is more like a 'thank you' note than a review (감사합니다, 정쌤! :) ), but I know that for other italki visitors a 'thank you' note would not be too useful. So here's a list of some of the highlights that come to my mind right now about the classes I had with her: * we can communicate in English very well * she is very, very patient with me * she gives you homework (if you want, I do since it is super helpful) * she always ask if everything is clear and makes sure you understand before moving on * we do question/answer dialogs for practice * she creates quizzes you can use for word practice on your phone * she explains concepts and grammar very well, also things that only a native speaker knows * she knows kdrama and kpop :) Hopefully we can continue learning together and maybe after my 40th lession, my next review will be in Korean. :)

I had my 40th lesson with 정쌤 and I'm still 100 pct happy that I'm fortunate enough to learn Korean from her. I'd love to leave a review after each and every lesson, since after every lesson I feel really happy and excited about studying, but I don't want to flood the review wall... so just believe me that what I wrote earlier still stands: you can improve your Korean and get very valuable real advices and tips about real life usage of the language if you enroll to her class. She is always open to any questions however silly they may be and her patience is extraordinary. ㅎㅎ 감사합니다 정쌤! I hope we can still continue learning!
