Hi, I'm Anna and I am from the Philippines. I work as a community tutor at italki. I am a native Tagalog speaker who is also fluent in English. In addition, I am a licensed professional teacher, nurse, and midwife. I began my teaching career in the Philippines in 2007.Me as a Teacher
Since 2017, I have been teaching high school students in an environment where English is the medium of instruction. For over four years, I also worked as a Clinical Instructor at the College of Nursing in a university in the Philippines. In addition, I taught to grade-schoolers for nearly three years. I am able to teach Tagalog and English to students of all ages, from beginner to advanced.My lessons & teaching style
I teach Tagalog and English in a fun and easy manner. I use interesting slide presentations, simple yet relevant exercises, and lots of meaningful and engaging practice conversations to help students improve their Tagalog or English communication skills and boost their confidence. Mistakes are welcome and addressed politely in my class.My teaching material
