I have taught and tutored as an adjunct professor of English since 2014. I am eager to work with students who want to improve their writing skills. I also provide tutoring in grammar, reading comprehension, and speaking. I am fluent in Italian and can provide explanations for how grammar rules differ from English to Latin languages. I am CELTA-certified.

My approach to teaching is to allow the student to take responsibility for their learning and determine their path based on their own goals. I also integrate a fair amount of technology into my teaching so that students can interact with learning material rather than passively receive it.

My lessons & teaching style

If you work with me, you will choose your own learning path. If you want me to direct the learning path, there will be a heavy emphasis on grammar, starting with a diagnostic quiz so I can determine your strengths and weaknesses and go from there.
